An inventory company was instructed by a letting agent to conduct an inventory check-in report for a rental property. However, the inventory company failed to complete the job, due to an administrative error in their booking system resulting the tenant already moving their belongings into the property before the check-in could take place. The letting agent had to call Optimal Inventories to save the situation. We arrived on site in 30 mins complete the report.

Challenges faced:

Time Constraint: The clerk had to work around the tenant who had already moved in their belongings, making it challenging to conduct a thorough inspection.

Due to the already sensitive situation, the clerk had to ensure that the work was done to high standards, complete proofreading on site and finish the report efficiently before they even left the property, leaving the agent and tenant feel impressed and satisfied.

Actions taken:

Working around the tenant: The clerk carefully navigated the property, ensuring not to disrupt the tenant’s belongings while recording the condition of the property was not jeopardized.

Quick completion: despite the time constraint, the inventory clerk worked diligently to complete the report promptly and made the report available to tenant and agent instantly, which was on a Friday afternoon.
